Black velvet costume robe of "Moroccan" style, custom-designed. Band collar which buttons in center front. Jacket buttons down entire length with tiny buttons and loops. Sleeves are set in, full and straight. Side seams end in slits which are rounded at corners and have 2 buttons at top. Every seam is covered in gold and black braid. Entire coat has gold embroidery down front, at hem, at cuff and down sleeve, on collar, shoulder, and top center back and hem. Back is plain. Fully lined in blue cotton. No labels in garment.

Evening dress of blue and brown ombre silk chiffon.

Dress of bright green chiffon printed with multi-color shapes and with all-over scattered sequins and beading. The full-length A-line sheath has a round neckline with beaded band trim at neckline. The long sleeves have five non-functioning beaded buttons at wrist, and five hidden snap closures from wrist. The dress has an attached underdress of matte silk printed with same design as the overdress. The garment is fully lined with cream silk which has woven into it a repeated pattern of Hanae Mori's name. The underdress has a zipper closure at center back from neckline to above waist. The overdress has a series of hidden snaps to conceal the zipper, and a line of eight beaded buttons matching those on the sleeves, also non-functional. A single hook-and-loop closure at neck secures the top of the garment. The printed design includes circles, flowers, and fluid lines and triangles in shades of pink, yellow, blue, orange, and violet. The sequins are clear, and are secured with tiny colored beads, the colors of which match the color of the dress they are sewn over. Sewn inside dress at back at left of zipper is designer label: "[Japanese characters] / Hanae Mori"

Cocktail dress of fuchsia pink silk chiffon. Knee-length, princess-line sheath with moderate scooped neckline and short sleeves. The set-in sleeves are attached to a U-shaped armseye opening set below a dropped shoulder line. The short sleeves are horizontally pleated in five tiers with each pleat slightly wider than the one above it. Two pleats fall from off the left front neckline to mid-thigh. Asymmetrical waistband curving up over the left hip. Chiffon overskirt falling from the waistband. The overskirt has an asymmetrical hem that curves upward around the left side. The overskirt's hem is embellished with four wide horizontal pleats. The bodice pleat detail becomes a separate pleated panel as it falls from the waistband to the overskirt's hem. It is caught up into the hem. Knee-length underskirt of fuchsia silk chiffon. Center back zipper bodice closure from the neck to the hip line with a single hook&eye at the neckline. Piece lined in fuchsia pink silk satin. Right side seam slit in underskirt about 6 inches. Label located inside center back beside the zipper. The zipper is faced with fuchsia pink chiffon. Evening dress of white appliqued lace and black taffeta. Bodice of white lace with appliqued soutache braid in a floral chrysanthemum motif. Tea length; long sleeves with 3" cuffs and snap closure. Scooped neckline has a scalloped edge. Empire waist and gathered skirt of black taffeta. Center back zipper closure. Hemline of skirt is stiffened with 1-1/2" band of horsehair. Bodice lined in peach synthetic and skirt lined in black synthetic.

Man's two piece suit of black and grey striped wool. A) Jacket with narrow notch lapels. Single breasted with closure of three buttons with worked buttonholes. Two 5.5" vents in back; cuffs have four non-functional matching black buttons. There are two welt pockets on the front near the hip; the right one has a smaller pocket within it; one left breast welt pocket. Partially lined in black polyester. One jetted pocket inside right breast. Shoulder pads. 18" shoulder. Designer and Retailer label inside right breast: "DeRogatis / New York / Neiman-Marcus" B) Pants with two side seam pockets. Two jetted pockets in back, the left with a black button and worked button hole closure. Front has two darts; front zip fly closure with a 3.5" long tab with two hooks, inside tab closes with a black button and worked buttonhole. Each side at waistband has adjustable tabs and two black buttons. 32.5" inseam; 34" waist at rest, or 33" waist with adjustable tabs. A) Evening dress of gray silk chiffon with print of Mount Fuji scene at bottom of dress with yellow and white blossoms on upper portion accented with Japanese writing in red rectangular boxes. "Hanae Mori" signature in print. Under layer of black chiffon. High rounded neckline. Full length, straight silhouette. Long sleeves are open under arms and are formed from rectangular panels which drape like kimono sleeves for full length of dress. Center back zipper closure with hook & eye on lining; covered snaps on black chiffon and gray chiffon layers with hook & eye joining the layers at neckline. Lined in gray rayon. Length of Handwoven Fabric. Two breadth garment handwoven in cotton on the backstrap loom. Natural brown cotton with white cotton stripes - warp faced weave. The 2 panels are joined with machine stitching and the ends have machine stitched hems. One panel is slightly longer (2 3/8") than the other.

Maternity dress of printed cotton blend(?) in pattern of geometric shapes in orange, green and red on pink background with "scratches" of dark pink and magenta. Knee length with wide rounded neckline faced in olive green linen. Elbow length sleeves have 3" bell shaped cuffs backed in olive green linen. Center back zipper closure; unlined. Wedding dress of white chiffon(?), tulle, and lace. A) Dress. Full-length, full skirt. Empire waist. Long sleeves, with 3" lace cuffs and lace ruffle and two bands of matching lace running length of sleeve. Lace ruffle around shoulder. Square neckline, filled in with lace, which rises to form high standing collar with ruffle. Band of lace at waist and two bands down front. Cathedral train with two tiers of self at lower part of skirt, edged in lace. Lapped center back zipper. Attached slip of ivory synthetic, and very full layer of tulle. Tiers also with under layer of tulle. Union Label Not pictured - B) Headpiece/veil. Rigid cylindrical headpiece of stiffened, wired lace, the sides of which extend down in points, from the crown of which spring 3 layers of white tulle, the shortest (shoulder length) and middle (calf-length) layers edged with lace to match dress, the longest (trailing behind) with plain edge.

Caftan. Vintage Guatemalan skirt (possibly from Santa Maria de Jesus) remade into a contemporary caftan. Original skirt handwoven on treadle loom all cotton. Hand embroidered cotton randa (joining seam). Notice the handmade fabric toggle closure at neckline to complement original design of skirt.

Faja (belt) of turquoise and dark green cotton. Linear repeating pattern in green of birds and a human figure in the center, with three lines of green along the edges. Unfinished, loose threads at the ends. Handwoven on backstrap loom with warp face weave.

Faja (Belt) of red-orange, white, and black cotton. Handwoven on backstrap loom with warp face weave. Linear, geometric, repeating design of plants and human figures in red and black in the center, with primarily black and white band of repeating design along edges. Ends of faja unfinished/untied.

Outfit. A) Blouse of multicolored polyester in a geometric design. "Midriff scarf blouse" style, with wide elastic neckline, cropped waist, and wide band of elastic smocking to create waistband below bust. Lower edge with ruffle effect. Sleeves are triangular in shape, forming oversized wings that flow as wearer moves. No labels. B) Slacks of off-white cotton or cotton/polyester blend. Full-length, with wide, slightly flaring legs and pronounced cuffs. Wide waistband, with cf zipper and two snaps at waistband. Wide belt-loops. Unlined. No labels. Handwritten inside: "M B Walker F"

Coat of black cotton velveteen. Single breasted with gold tone "R" logo buttons; notched lapel. Ankle length; long suit sleeves with peaked half cuffs and gold button. Faux peaked flap pocket at left breast and right hip trimmed with gold buttons; side slit pockets. Deep vents at side seams. Lined in black Cupro fabric with "R" logo. Designer's label: Roberta di Camerino

Picture hat of red woven straw. High, domed crown is encircled by wide band of folded/doubled red grosgrain ribbon with white polka dots, large bow at back. Wide brim turns up gently at front, and more sharply at back. Inner pink grosgrain ribbon hatband. Combined designer's/retailer's label on inner hatband: "Frank Olive / for / Neiman-Marcus"

Picture hat of olive green woven straw. High, cylindrical crown, flat at top, and very slightly conical, encircled at base by ca. 1" to 1 1/2" wide band of same woven straw, tied at back with extending tales. Wide brim, burned vertical at outer edge. Pink grosgrain inner hatband. Combined designer's/retailer's label on inner hatband: "Frank Olive / for / Neiman-Marcus"

A) Evening dress of silk chiffon over dress in print of blue peacocks on ivory background with hot pink ground along bottom of dress. Under dress of silk in print matching chiffon over dress. Full length. Slightly scooped neckline drops to a rounded V-shape in back. Long sleeves of matching chiffon are open under arms and have square-shaped, kimono style drape. Skirt slightly gathers at natural waist. Center back zipper with two hook & eyes at neckline and two covered snaps on chiffon outer layer of skirt just below waist. Lined in white rayon. Designer's label at back neckline: "Hanae Mori / [Japanese characters]" Size 14 tag attached to base of designer label. B) Sash/scarf of chiffon in matching blue peacock print with hot pink on ends; 17" wide.

Delantal (Apron). Made from remnant of jaspe (ikat) corte (skirt). Material is very nicely detailed with a scalloped bottom that is trimmed in velvet. The lining of the pockets is made from the same skirt material. This piece was probably used as an accessory to a garment for a statue of a saint.

Evening dress of light sage green/gray silk chiffon. The straight across bodice has very thin spaghetti straps and an attached over-the shoulder wrap with 4” lace border. The wrap is attached at the center front with a faux closure of six self-covered buttons and closure of a self-covered button and loop at the center back neckline. The full length straight skirt has two outer layers of gathered chiffon and a double spaghetti cord belt of self which forms a bow at the center front and closes with a hook & eye. Left side zipper closure with hook & eye. Lined in matching silk; white grosgrain petersham. Designer's label at center back: "Nina Ricci / “Boutique” / Paris" Retailer's label at center back: "Made in France especially for / Neiman-Marcus"
