Auto Fellatio
The artwork consists of collage images and small scale constructions that create a tableaux that is then photographed. The black and white photograph depicts a person having sexual relations with himself. Three teddy bears are in the foreground. The room depicted has one window in the background and a small alcove with an octagonal window in the upper right hand portion of the picture. There is a small foot stool underneath and to the side of the window. This presentation is part of the faculty lecture series UNT Speaks Out on Coming Home. The author discusses methods and findings from a project she participated in related to how veterans narrated their experiences through art. The black and white photograph depicts three young boys finding a stash or pornography. There is a collage element of a nude man with no head, hands or feet. However, through a television set one of the man's hand becomes visible. The man's head appears to be partially removed. From Scoular Hall to Welch Street Complex I
A short video combining still and motion footage documenting the move of the Texas Fashion Collection from Scoular Hall to the Welch Street Complex I. The video includes footage of the new site being cleared after demolition of the Church of Christ, construction of the Texas Fashion Collection section of the new facility, the arrival and placement of the modular sections, and general preparation of the new facility. Activities include inventory work, packing materials and preparing racks of garments for the move, of wrapped racks being loaded on and unloaded from trucks, and items being unloaded in the new facility. Still footage of packed areas of Scoular and new classrooms in Welch Street I are also included.
