Description: Skimmer hat of straw and silk. The skimmer, or boater style hat has a low woven straw crown with flat top. Around the crown is a matching woven straw ribbon edged in brown silk, with a bow at back. The wide, flat brim is of woven straw, covered with brown silk matching the trimming of the band on the crown. The silk covering is quilted in a pattern of concentric bands with running wavy lines. Ceremonial skirt

Description: Ceremonial Skirt of ochre-orange cotton with purple stripes and metallic thread. One piece of fabric sew into a floor-length tube, with tripes running horizontally. Textile created on a backstrap loom, design motifs hand embroidered with couched metallic threads, with decorative band of densely-embroidered geometric motifs at the bottom hem.

Felt hat

Description: Hat of black felt. The crown is designed as a shallow dome with front hatband of wide black velvet ribbon with a large bow. Wide circular brim turns up at back and is secured with two wide vertical bands of same black velvet ribbon. Unlined; headband of black grosgrain ribbon. Elastic band for securing hat to head.

Description: Girl's dress of off-white cotton canvas feed sack material with stemmed yellow rose print. Double Peter Pan style collar with scalloped ruffle trim. Gathered and pleated short sleeves with matching scalloped ruffle trim. Empire waist; knee length. Center back closure of three circular pearl buttons and barred buttonholes. Unlined.

Cloche

Description: Cloche hat of black felt. The domed crown has a shaped lower edge, and a small brim that turns up and back to become vertical against the crown at front, and flares out slightly at sides and back. At side is a spray of black ostrich feathers. Inner black grosgrain ribbon hatband. Maker's label sewn inside: "Model / by / Hatty's / Paris / New York"

Cloche

Description: Cloche-style hat of light green open-weave horsehair. The domed crown has extending "brim" which is very short in front, descending downwards, and longer sections at side and back, also descending downwards. Hat has a hatband of pinks and beige pleated satin ribbon which is inside crown, but visible through open weave. Ribbons emerge at back of hat, forming a bow with trailing ends. Hat is unlined, with an inner green grosgrain hatband.
