Hat of green net and artificial flowers. Formed somewhat as a Juliet cap, the net base has wire stiffened edges and forms a close, rounded crown with sections that extend down sides and back of head. The base is covered with artificial flowers (daisies or dogwood blossoms?), with green cloth stems and leaves, the blossoms with white petals and yellow centers. Unlined. With 3 black bobby-pins for securing to wearer's head.

Hat of navy blue straw. The very shallow crown is slightly domed, and surmounted by a large flat grosgrain ribbon bow. The wide brim curves down at outer edges, forming a deep curve. The whole rests on a hidden skull-cap crown with panel that extends down and over the back and sides of head. The hat is overlaid with a dark blue net veil worked with circular areas.

Hat of black wool felt. The tall, cylindrical crown is slanted across the top, higher at front than back. The top of the crown has a flattened section with inner ridge, forming a ring of the felt inside the top. Around the sides of the crown is a very wide light brown band of grosgrain ribbon with bow and trailing ends at back of hat. The wide brim undulates, partly curving up and partly curving down. The hat is lined in black satin, and has an inner hatband of black grosgrain ribbon around the inside base of the crown. The orange felt brim curves downwards. The underside of the brim is lined with the orange felt, while the crown is lined with white silk with a black grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. The hat, styled as a modified calotte (also spelled "calot"), is formed of a low slightly domed crown extending at front and back of stiffened mesh completely covered with artificial flowers of pink and white silk and with green silk leaves and wired stems covered in green silk. The hat is unlined, the under layers of mesh visible. Inside the crown at the sides are two short sections of brown grosgrain ribbon with attached small plastic combs to help secure the hat to wearer's head.
