About this Partner
The mission of the UNT College of Information is to generate, integrate, and disseminate knowledge in a learner-centered environment. The College advances domains of knowledge in information science, library science, computing and technology systems, learning and cognition, and human performance. Formed in 2008 by consolidating the former School of Library and Information Sciences and the former Department of Learning Technologies, the College comprises two academic departments and three research centers.
The Department of Learning Technologies offers degree programs that are "nationally and internationally known for preparing future educators and technology professionals to advance knowledge of technology tools and their applications." The Department offers courses of study leading to bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees; career and technical education (CTE) certification; and corporate training certificates.
The Department of Library and Information Sciences "prepares graduates for significant roles in the information age." The Department offers courses of study leading to bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees; certificates of advanced study; and graduate academic certificates.
