Microbial Activity in "Overland Flow" Industrial Waste Treatment

Description: One of the major problems of modern industries concerns the disposal of waste materials without the concomitant pollution of the environment. Several food and wood products industries have solved this problem by using the "overland flow" method of waste treatment. The research described in this paper was undertaken to ascertain the fact that the waste purification occurring on the disposal field is the result of microbial activities in the soil, and to study the transformations taking place.

The use of the semantic differential in a study of the effects of aspirational and dissociative reference group influence on consumer behavior

Description: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of aspirational and dissociative reference group influence on consumer behavior. There are two ways in which behavior is influenced by reference groups. First, reference groups influence aspiration levels and therefore play a major role in producing satisfaction or frustration. A Study of Plankton Dilution in Source Streams Compared with that of Lake Dallas Proper

Description: This study was a comparative study of Plankton of Lake Dallas and the three main source streams. Based on the analysis of data, which was presented relative to the organisms taken from the lake and from the source streams, the results obtained are discussed, the Plankton seem to be largely autogenetic in Lake Dallas, the source streams Elm Fork and Clear Creek form a dilution process.
