An Investigation for Gamma Rays Resulting from the Bombardment of As75 with 14 Mev Neutrons
It is the purpose of this paper to set forth the method and results of studying the gamma rays resulting from the bombardment of As75 with approximately 14 Mev neutrons. The source of these neutrons was the H3(d,n)He4 reaction. The deuterons of 325 Kev energy were obtained from a Van de Graff electrostatic accelerator. A NaI scintillation spectrometer was used to determine the gamma-ray energies.
Situation-Type Problems for Use in Elementary Accounting
The problem of this study is to develop a series of "situation-type" problems to be used in the teaching of the first course in elementary accounting at North Texas State College. The solutions for the problems were prepared contemporaneously with the problems to save the instructor's time when the problems are used. The Function of Craft Activities in Early Adolescence
This paper presents the thesis that a major emphasis on craft activities in the creative art program for early adolescence is indicated as an aid in the adjustment of the child to the more mature status in which he finds himself. As a test, during the school years 1955-56 and 1956-57, children in grades six and seven at the W. W. Bushman School in the Dallas Independent School District, Dallas, Texas, participated in various projects in crafts as part of the course of study in art, which also included drawing and painting. A description and evaluation of these problems are the subject of this paper.
