A Burkeian Analysis of the Crimean War Speeches of John Bright

Description: This study investigates the motives behind the rhetorical strategies of rejection and acceptance used by John Bright in his four Parliamentary speeches opposing the Crimean War. A Communicative Analysis of the Role of Television Coverage of the 1968 Democratic National Convention

Description: This study investigates how television coverage of the 1968 Democratic National Convention largely determined the negative public impression of the convention and its candidate. Description: The study begins with an overview of the 1948 political situation, followed by the evaluation of Truman's use of ethical appeal using criteria developed by Thonssen, Baird, and Braden.
