[Carved wooden clock]
Image of a wooden clock, stained a dark brown and carved to look like a bird house with leaves on each side and a bird at the top. The face of the clock is black with white tick marks and white circles for the numbers. The place where number six would be is instead replaced with a hole to the inside. At the bottom of the clock face is "Germany", presumably where it was made.

Seperated from volume, the newspaper clipping is shelved in Object Files, Rare Book and Texana Collections.

In the background are tall mountains lit by light on one side. The book is missing its spine, all that remains is remnants of the binding cloth. Behind the cloth are the signatures that the pages of the book are bound into. Inside the book are pages yellowed from age. The illustration in the book are in black and white. On of the illustrations on page 83 is of Heidi sitting in a chair next to another girl chairbound. The girl's chair is plush on the back and has wheels on the side. The front cover on the book is a light warm blue color with five white and green flowers, one white bud, and eight dark green leaves connected to each other by vines making a crisscross pattern of green and across the cover. All of the illustrations are line with gold. Wedged in between the two flowers at the top is a side profile of Heidi's face. On the center of the cover is the title and author in gold leafing. On the spine of the book are lines of dark green and gold at the top and bottom. Also at the top of the spine is the title of the book written in gold with a flourish underneath. Below the title is the last name of the author and a white flower lined in gold. At the bottom is a red and orange stripped stripe with "GCW" written in cursive above the name of the publishing company and stands for Gustine Courson Weaver. The interior of the book contains both black and white and colored illustrations of various scenes from the book.
