Woman and Nautilus

Description: This long vertical work consists of a tie dyed or shibori method of screen printing. The imagery in the top portion of the work is a large red circle floating on an orange colored ground. The bottom portion of the work is a purple with many dark streaks running horizontally and a large light purple wave shape moves from the bottom edge of the work towards the top.

Description: This queen sized bedspread, screen printed on cotton velvet, was created while Spear studied at Cranbrook Art Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The bedspread gradates from purples to blues with long wave shapes in a pale yellow gold color.
