Blue Tide

Description: This queen sized bedspread, screen printed on cotton velvet, was created while Spear studied at Cranbrook Art Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The bedspread gradates from purples to blues with long wave shapes in a pale yellow gold color.

Description: The work depicts space in a canyon like fashion. Irregular shapes run through the work and from the edges are dropped perpendicularly gradated lines that create form and space. The illusion of space is also created by the gradations from white to pink to purple.

Description: The horizontally situated artwork depicts deep receding space and wide ribbons of gradated colors disappearing into the distance. The sky or space is a greenish blue hue and the ribbons range from rich orange brown to blue-green, dull yellows and beiges.

Description: The horizontally oriented work of art consists of many shapes and sections. Running horizontally is a long piece divided into two stripes, one green and the upper one a pink brown.
