Description: This presentation accompanies a paper discussing research on Uganda. In 1908, a young Winston Churchill, during his travels declared Uganda to be the pearl of Africa. One hundred years later, that pearl has become lacking in luster and lost in the midst of all the baggage Uganda now carries with it. Both the local and internationally community will need to have a hand in bringing back the luster to Uganda.
