Factor Structure and Construct Validity of the Proposed Specifiers for Conduct Disorder (PSCD) Scale in Chinese Adolescents

Description: Article examining the psychometric properties of the self-report version of Proposed Specifiers for Conduct Disorder (PSCD) Scale in a sample of community adolescents in mainland China. Findings provide preliminary evidence for the four-factor structure of the PSCD and support for the utility of the self-report PSCD for measuring psychopathic traits and CD in Chinese adolescents.

Failure analysis of an elbow tube fitting

Description: This article discusses elbow tube fitting. Abstract: Safe operation of machinery depends strongly on the design of the system and the employement of proper components and materials. Unique to fluid powered systems are the proper selection of hydraulic lines, fittings, and control valves. This paper describes the cause of fracture in an elbow tube fittings due to deficiencies in the dimensional design and materials selection. The investigation included metallography, fractography, hardness testi… more

Fatty acid amide hydrolase and 9-lipoxygenase modulate cotton seedling growth by ethanolamide oxylipin levels

Description: Article asserts that polyunsaturated N-acylethanolamines (NAEs) can be hydrolyzed by fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) or oxidized by lipoxygenase (LOX). Altogether, the authors conclude that the growth of cotton seedlings involves fine-tuning of 9-NAE-HOD levels via FAAH-mediated hydrolysis and LOX-mediated production, expanding the mechanistic understanding of plant growth modulation by NAE oxylipins to a perennial crop species.
