Cooperative bi-exponential decay of dye emission coupled via plasmons
This article demonstrates that the relaxation in the sub-radiant system leads to the population of the sub-radiant states by dephasing the super-radiant Dicke states giving rise to the bi-exponential decay in agreement with the experiments.
Dynamic Shear Deformation of a Precipitation Hardened Al0.7CoCrFeNi Eutectic High-Entropy Alloy Using Hat-Shaped Specimen Geometry
The article reports on the shear deformation of a eutectic structured HEA and effect of precipitation on shear deformation, particularly Al₀.₇CoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy (HEA). A split-Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) was used to compress the hat-shaped specimens to study the local dynamic shear response of the alloy. The change in the width of shear bands with respect to precipitation and deformation rates was studied. The precipitation of L1₂ phase did not delay the formation of adiabatic shear bands (ASB) or affect the ASB width significantly, however, the deformed region around ASB, consisting of high density of twins in fcc phase, was reduced from 80 µm to 20 µm in the stronger precipitation strengthened condition.
Effect of Substrate Support on Dynamic Graphene/Metal Electrical Contacts
This article investigates the stability of dynamic electrical contacts at a graphene/metal interface using atomic force microscopy (AFM), under static conditions with variable normal loads and under sliding conditions with variable speeds.
Engineered nonlinear materials using gold nanoantenna array
This article describes the use of a gold nanoantenna array to enhance both the nonlinear refractive index and two-photon absorption (2PA) of the organic dye 4,4'-bis(diphenylamino)stilbene (BDPAS), which is known as a dye with relatively large 2PA.

Microstructural Design for Improving Ductility of An Initially Brittle Refractory High Entropy Alloy
This article presents a novel approach to microstructural engineering of refractory high-entropy alloys (RHEAs) to form an "inverted" BCC+B2 microstructure.
New mechanism of plasmons specific for spin-polarized nanoparticles
This article experimentally shows that Co nanoparticles with a single-domain crystal structure support a plasmon resonance at approximately 280 nm with better quality than gold nanoparticle resonance in the visible. The magnetic nature of these nanoparticles suggests a new type of these plasmons.
