The Relationship of Educational Achievement to the Role-Concept of Women

Description: The problem of this investigation was an analysis of selected variables that affected woman's role-concept. Specifically this research was concerned with how a woman's role-concept was influenced by education. This research concluded that the level of education influenced role-concept. Respondents with more than a high school education were very contemporary. Comparative Effects of Two Physical Conditioning Programs and Evaluation of Instruments for Measuring Physical Fitness

Description: The problem of this study was to determine the effects of (1) a conditioning program designed to develop cardiovascular-respiratory efficiency and (2) a conditioning program designed to develop strength and agility on the improvement of parameters of physical fitness as measured "by the AAHPER Youth Fitness Test, basal heart rate, and physical work capacity determined by a progressive work test on the bicycle ergometer.

The Effect of Two Methods of Reporting Pupil Progress on Adjustment and Achievement of Fourth Grade Students in a Suburban Elementary School

Description: The present research was an investigation of the effect of two methods of reporting pupil progress on adjustment and achievement of fourth grade pupils in a suburban elementary school. One method involved the use of an evaluation form reflecting performance in terms of ability, parent-teacher conferences, and work samples. The other method was comprised primarily of competitive grading and marking procedures, utilizing a standard report card to report results.
