A Study of the Relationships among Relational Maintenance Strategy Usage, Communicator Style and Romantic Relational Satisfaction

Description: This thesis examined student-participants' self-reported use of romantic relational maintenance strategies and their partners' reports of relational satisfaction. Additionally, individuals outside the romantic relationship reported on student-participants' general communicator style. The research proposed that general style reports would be predictive of relational maintenance strategy usage and of romantic partners' relational satisfaction. The National Labor Relations Board's Interpretation of Interference, Restraint and Coercion

Description: This study will endeavor to present an analysis of the process in which the National Labor Relations Board gave specific meaning to "interfere with, restrain or coerce" found in section 8(1) of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935. Under Section 8(1) of the Act, the Labor Board, subject to judicial review, has the authority to declare illegal any management procedure which in its opinion involves interference, restraint or coercion.

The Effectiveness of Say It Straight Communications Training With Adults in Outpatient Chemical Dependency Treatment

Physical and Functional Characterization of the xy1XYZ Region From TOL Plasmid pDK1 and its Associated Downstream Regulatory Elements

Description: The nucleotide sequence for the pDKl TOL plasmid region encoding toluate-1,2-dioxygenase (Xy1XYZ, TO) was determined. TO is the first enzyme in the meta-cleavage operon, responsible for the conversion of toluates and benzoates to their carboxy-substituted diols. Dielectric Properties of Azotobacter vinelandii in a Microwave Field

Description: A resonant frequency cavity was used to determine the dielectric properties of various preparations of Azotobacter vinelandii ATTC 12837. It was found that the bacteria investigated did interact with microwave radiation in the absence of free water. Evaluation of Immune Responses and Cytological Changes in Lumbricus Terrestris and Eisenia Foetida as Assays for Xenobiotics

Description: The earthworms, Lubricus terrestris and Eisenia foetida, were used as non mammalian surrogate models to assess the immunotoxicpotential of xenobiotic to mammals. Assays were developed and optimized for detecting spreading activity and phagocytosis of rabbit red blood cell (RRBC), bacteria, and yeasts by macrophage-like coelomocytes of L. terrestris.
