Description: The linkage relationship and arm location of the gene for greenbug resistance in the variety Will was determined by using primary trisonomics and tertiary trisomic homozygous translocations. Purification and Characterization of Ascaris Suum Hexokinase

Description: Hexokinase has been found in a soluble and a bound form in homogenates of Ascaris suum muscle. Cellulose acetate electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing, and ion exchange chromatography confirmed the presence of only one molecular form of hexokinase in this muscle. Effect of Inorganic Phosphate on the Morphology and Poly-β-Hydroxybutyrate Content of Azotobacter Vinelandii Atcc 12837

Description: This study was designed to determine the effect of inorganic phosphate in the growth media of A. vinelandii on the synthesis and accumulation of poly-β-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) and cellular morphology. Effects of Lysolecithin on Macrophages

Description: The effect of lysolecithin on the macrophage was studied using five macrophage function assays. The results of indicate that lyso lecithin is a macrophage activating agent which causes enhanced cell spreading, increased phagocytosis of sheep erythrocytes, heightened membrane activity in the presence of damaged autologous red blood cells, chemotaxis, and vigorous phagocytosis and intracellular killing of Staphylococcus albus.

Description: Early development of O2 chemoreception and hypoxic responses under normoxic (150 mmHg) and chronically hypoxic (110 mmHg) conditions were investigated in Xenopus laevis from hatching to 3 weeks post fertilization. Description: It seemed desirable to investigate more fully the effect of hexadecanol on the microbial population of a reservoir.
