Description: Handbag of multicolored (predominantly blue) beads in abstract design. Curved brass frame trimmed with mother of pearl, garnets, and aquamarine or topaz with scalloped bottom. Looped beaded fringe; double chain handle attached to two small lion chain supports; balled, plunger type closure. Blue silk lining with two interior pockets. Measurements: 18 cm from center of frame to bottom of fringe; 17 cm across base of purse.

Description: Baby girl's white batiste cotton dress with lace and squared drawn work at the pin tucked neckline. Matching lace and drawn work at the cuff of the short puffed sleeves. Double row of squared drawn work around hem. Center back closure of three tiny mother-of-pearl buttons and loops. Cloth tape with blue script embroidered name: "Barbara Howell", for whom it was made.
