Hatlet

Description: Hatlet of black straw, net, and velvet. The hatlet is based on a metal underframe shaped as an open circle, wrapped, on which are set six black straw pompom forms set in a circle about 6" in diameter. At center of circle is a bow of narrow black velvet ribbon with 4 extending trailing ribbons. The whole is set on a circular veil of black mesh net. Designer's label: "Norman-Pualvin / New York".

Description: Headdress for a Child To Be Worn On New Year’s Day. Stepped silhouette, pompoms and fabric covered rod at top. Body of hat is appliqued cotton with embroidery. Decorated with pompoms made from acrylic yarn.

Hatlet

Description: Hatlet of stiffened white mesh covered with artificial flowers. The low, domed crown is based on a form of stiffened white mesh which is completely covered by small artificial flowers in shades of very pale mauve/purple, almost taupe, and green leaves and stems. The hat is unlined, and has a light brown grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Designer's Label: "Bonnette / Highland Park Village"

Formed on a velvet-covered framework and net, the low, shaped crown is embellished with 5 large light turquoise blue velvet roses with light blue satin leaves, overlaid with a blue net veil.
