Picture Hat

Description: Picture hat of light pink silk taffeta and feathers. The domed crown is totally covered by sprays of off-white ostrich feathers and pale pink veiling. At one side is a metal buckle with rhinestones. The wide brim is wired at outer edge and covered with the same silk. The whole is swathed in veiling which also hangs down to secure below face of wearer. Crown of hat is lined in off-white silk, the brim is lined with the same pink silk.

Linen sunbonnet

Description: Sunbonnet of brown linen with pasteboard staves, crenelated buttoning crown and long tail; crown and tail are separate pieces, sewn together at neck seam; tail fastens to side of brim through 3 off-white buttons on each side; shape of tail is semi-circular; chin ties are narrow hemmed by hand; fabric is a plain weave with both white and brown threads. Measurements: 56 cm. from lowest point of tail to top of crown when laid flat; Brim is 20 cm. deep from outer edge to inner edge.

Capelet

Description: Two-tiered capelet of midnight blue/black velvet and off-white lace. Capelet extends to about small of back, and has high, standing collar trimmed in dense ruff of tightly gathered of black chiffon. Around throat, along both sides of center front opening, around hem, and on edges and hem of the wide tier (7" at center front, 8" over shoulders) is wide band of off-white floral and scroll lace, placed as an applique along edges. Girl's Fancy Dress

Description: Girl's fancy dress of beige silk satin with light green vertical stripes; satin ribbon flounces at hem, neckline, and sleeves. Large ruffle of net tulle with satin ribbon accents at the rounded neckline. Attached satin ribbon belt which forms three-looped bow in back. Short, puffed sleeves. Center back closure of hook & eyes. Slit pocket. Lined in cream colored organdy.

Description: Graduation gown ensemble of ivory silk taffeta decorated with bands of pearls, glass beads and tucked beading. A) Fitted bodice. Description: Maternity dress of red wool with gigot sleeves and shirred yoke. The standing collar, cuffs, and pelerine are of black silk velvet, edged in cream lace frills. Watteau back. Attached black ribbon sash at high waist. Fitted inner lining of brown polished cotton with center front button closure and boning. B) Black ribbon sash; 2-3/4" wide. Formerly attached to dress(?).

Bodice

Description: Dress top/bodice of black silk brocade in "tree branch" geometric design with lavender silk vestee front over-laid with black point d'esprit in pattern of squares. Modified leg of mutton sleeve with black passementerie trim. Stand-up collar of matching lavender silk covered in black lace. Collar and vestee close on left with hook & eyes. Black fabric lining of bodice is boned and closes at center front with hook & eyes in which hooks and eyes alternate sides. 29" waist.

Wool petticoat

Description: Petticoat of heavy red wool trimmed with black wool braid. Yoke at waistline with shell button and drawstring of red wool twill tape. Hem is trimmed with a wide flounce with horizontal braid trimming and a smaller plated flounce at the foot.

Linen petticoat

Description: Petticoat of off-white linen. Full-length, with plain waistband with drawstring waist. Gathered into waist at sides and back, flat at front. Near Above hem are 4 horizontal pin-tucks. Below pin-tucks is wide added flounce of same material with embroidered hem with triangular "points". Embroidered initials at center front: "NHE" Described as a trousseau petticoat.

Cotton petticoat

Description: Petticoat of white cotton batiste. Fitted at waist and bell shaped/flaired below knees ; slightly trained in back. Fine insertion lace in 2-1/2" waves for ribbon insertion. Many rows of narrow inserted lace, 4" band of white embroidery in leaf motif and lace edged hem.
