Jeans
Pair of commercially produced Wrangler denim jeans that were found in the southern Rocky mountains across from Red River, New Mexico in the late 1960's. The pants had been bleached in irregular patterns by the sun, and had various worn and torn places. After discovery, the Wranglers were embellished with red velour fabric pieces to cover some of the worst structural damage, and with a commercially available embroidered butterfly patch added below waistband at center back. Labels: Evidence of rectangular tag having been sewn on right-side back pocket. Both back pockets have "W" stitching; Fly button engraved "Wrangler"; Tag sewn inside fly: "Wrangler / 30 x 34 / Sanforized / Made in U.S.A."; Zipper pull stamped "Gripper Zipper" and "Pat Pending"; Marked on left front pocket, inside pants: "GDW"

Dress. Floor-length dress of ivory knit, overlaid with a gold netting. Sleeveless and with a boat-neckline, the sheath-style dress has ornate heavy gold cording around neckline, armholes, along side-seams, and hem. The skirt has small side slits, and a center lapped zipper closure located along center-back of garment with hook-and-eye closure at top of zipper. Lined with a light polyester.

Ensemble of wine red linen, consisting of: A) Dress of wine red linen. Jumper-style, the seamed bodice has a wide, rounded neckline and is sleeveless. The skirt gathers slightly into the waist, which dips slightly to hips. Two slit pockets at side skirt seams just below waist. Center back opening, with 5 large circular wine red plastic buttons, a hook-and-eye at waist, two hidden snaps at neckline, and two hidden snaps below waist. Fully lined in red silk. Designer's label: "Norman Norell / New York" B) Under-bodice of wine red silk and wine red linen. Cropped bodice of silk with low, rounded neckline, and center front opening with 5 hook-and-eyes. Hat of beige cotton(?). The crown is designed as a five-sided pyramid constructed of five triangular segments that have concentric chevrons of top-stitching. The cylindrical lower edge has horizontal top-stitching, and a lower band of beige and gold brocade ribbon. Hat is unlined, with inner beige cotton(?) hatband. Hat of fine yellow straw. The cylindrical crown is flattened at top and has a "ridge" of straw running from front to back. Hatband of pleated yellow organza. Ceremonial huipil
Ceremonial/Cofradia (religious society) Huipil. 2 breadth garment back strap loomed in cotton with cotton and silk single-faced brocaded designs - broad and widely spaced red warp stripes amid very wide areas of ixcaco (natural brown cotton) - no trim at neck or sleeves.
Caftan
Caftan created from a Bedouin Thobe. The embroidered panels having been removed from the traditional thobe and incorporated into the caftan. Neiman-Marcus label.
Huipil panel
Unused (neck opening never cut) huipil (woman's blouse). White cotton warp and weft handwoven on the back strap loom - technique called picb'il (supplementary weft brocade on a spaced or gauze weave textile - no supplemental weft). This style huipil is always wider than longer so the side panels will hang lower than the center panel. This huipil is never tucked into the skirt, thus giving the wearer freedom to move around and feel cool in the subtropical climate of 3500'.
Morga skirt
Ceremonial Morga (Skirt) of purple and blue striped and patterned handwoven cotton and rayon. Created on a treadle loom with warp jaspe (ikat) patterning.

Skirt ensemble
Sky blue two-piece suit of raw silk. (a) Short sky blue silk jacket. Wide V-neckline with wide notched collar and lapels. 3/4 length sleeves cut in one with jacket body supplemented by two triangular shaped gussets under the arm. Lapped center front opening with one large, round, plastic, pebbly textured, light blue button and inseam (yoke seam) buttonhole supplemented by single snap and hook&eye. Fronts have bias cut yoke which cuts across bust line. Lower front pieces are also bias. Self fabric belt at waist goes through holes in front and side panel seams and ties just around the fronts, leaving back straight. Vents at hem below belt holes. Fully lined in blue silk. Designer's label stitched inside back neck below collar: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Dress of black wool. Below-knee length. V neckline with trim of black chenille fringe. 3/4 sleeves with matching fringe. Center front opening from neckline to below waist, secured with tiny hidden snaps and single hook and eye at waist. Attached self belt at waist, the ends of which cross over and secure with pairs of hooks and eyes to side seams. Skirt is gathered at waistline. Hem with black chenille fringe. Bodice partly lined with sheer black organza across shoulder blades at back. Attached inner shoulder pads. At waist is wide inner boned belt that hooks at front and is shaped somewhat like a corset, to lower edge of which is attached black silk lining of skirt. Designer's label: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Paris" Sewn behind designer's label is tag with handwritten note: "65090"
