Tulip-shaped gloves

Description: Gloves of yellow sueded cotton with tulip flower like wrists. Hands have seams on outside; running stitch in same yellow; wrist is wide; opening is similar to tulip flower petals, like reaching into the flower petals from the top. Label sewn inside right glove: "Gloves / Designed by / Lilly Dache". Stamped "6 1/2" inside right glove.

Description: Negligee of pale blue silk with bodice of off white stretch lace forming surplice bodice in the style of brassiere cups, applique of off white silk charmeuse forming leaf motifs along empire waistline, narrow silk straps, sleeveless, ankle length skirt draped on the bias. Belt of same material 1" x 6'.

Dickey

Description: Dickey or bib of white sheer organdy formed as a "herald's tabard" with front and back panels fastened at shoulders and by belt tie. Front with six horizontal pin-tucks. Rounded neckline with applied leaf-shaped panels embroidered with cream thread to form edges and veins. Tie belt threaded through pocket in panels. Back with two-button fastening just at neckline; open oval below to middle of back. No labels or tags.

Camisole slip

Description: Camisole slip of white cotton, knee-length, princess-line, eyelet trim around the shaped neckline and as the shoulder straps. Semi-fitted princess-seams. Turned hem with applied ruffle of eyelet lace and insertion. The slip is homemade and appears to be a petticoat from 1910-1915 that was altered and remade.

Camisole slip

Description: Camisole slip of heavy white cotton, knee-length, camisole slip. Eyelet lace trim around the neckline and as the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps' eyelet is attached to white cotton twill tape. Empire bust seam insertion of eyelet lace. Flared. five panel shell with turned hem. Gathered. 15" wide flounce of eyelet lace applied 15" above the hemline. The slip is homemade and appears to be a petticoat from 1910-1915 that has been altered and remade.

Nylon camisole

Description: Camisole slip of off-white nylon, v-neckline with shaped camisole cups with adjustable ivory ribbon shoulder straps. Darted bust cups. Inverted V-shaped insert of soft nylon below the bust that joins with the triangular back panel to form a zig zag waist seam. The knee-length skirt is cut in one piece and seamed center back. Hat

Description: Hat of ultramarine blue felt. Based on a top hat, the cylindrical high crown has an undulating upper edge. Small brim curls up at front and sides, but curls down at back, ending in a point. Around base of crown is wide blue grosgrain ribbon which trails off back of hat. Inside of brim lined with black grosgrain ribbon. A thin black elastic strap goes around the back of the head to secure the hat. Label sewn into inner band: "Walter Florell / 29 East 53rd New York"
