Designer's label at center back neckline: "Norman Norell / New York" B) Pleated skirt of same attached to a black silk slip with inserted panel at hip line. Midi length. Center back 16" plastic zipper. Unlined.

Description: Ensemble of off-white heavy weight linen with hand embroidery. A) Blouse with bateau neckline and embroidered in large, stemmed pink flowers. Sleeveless. Fitted with darts at bust. Attached belt of self fabric wraps around back waist from front right seam and snaps under a self-knotted section at left front seam. Hem is just below waist. Size label in lower zipper seam. B) Skirt of linen with 1'' waistband and box pleat panel at center front forming an A-line. Two darts at back and front; mid-length. Center back zipper closure with hook & eyes on waistband. Fully lined in off-white organza. Designer's label at center back seam: "Christian Dior - New York Inc." Retailer's label at center back seam: "Neiman-Marcus"

Ensemble - Dress and Bolero

Description: Ensemble. A) Bolero jacket is of red-orange with long sleeves. The cuffs, mandarin collar, hem, and center-front opening are edged with a wide band of off-white fur (fox or mink?). The jacket is decorated with closely-sewn rhinestones. The jacket is fully lined in cream fabric, and has a single hook-and-eye closure near throat. The jacket has no labels. B) Dress is of ivory wool, full-length, and sleeveless with a scoop-neck. Slightly A-line, with a slit at left side from hem up 18". Neckline is lower in back than front, and there is a center back zipper closure with hook-and-eye at top. The dress is fully lined in cream fabric. Designer's label in dress at side seam: "Norman Norell / New York". C) Wide belt of ivory wool, with lengthwise parallel stitching and large fabric-covered rectangular buckle. No labels on belt.

Designer's label at center back neckline: "Norman Norell / New York" Care label below designer's label: "Care Instructions / Professionally / Dry Clean Only" Retailer's label at inside right hem: "Lou Lattimore / Dallas" b) Slacks. Full length; wide cut. Narrow waistband. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Unlined. c) Belt of self. 1-1/2" wide.

Description: Ensemble of green silk faille. Over-bodice. Short, cropped top with wide, rounded neckline. The short, set-in sleeves are open along the entire top, each sleeve with 3 sets of 4 paired eyelets which are laced with three ties per sleeve. Center back zipper opens from bottom, not opening all the way to back neckline. Designer's label at right side seam: "Christian Dior - New York Inc." Dress. Below-knee length, with wide rounded neckline. Sleeveless, with fitted bodice. Slightly raised waist(?), into which the full skirt is gathered and pleated. Center back zipper with hook & eye at neckline, and hook and loop at waist. Unlined. Designer's label at inside back below zipper: "Christian Dior New York, Inc." Retailer's label at inside back below zipper: "Neiman-Marcus" Center back zipper with hook & eye at neckline and hook & loop at waist. Belt for dress, narrow, of green leather faced with green silk faille matching dress and overbodice. Single loop, and 3-snap catch. Stamped on reverse: "8 Christian Dior / New York"

Evening Dress

Description: Evening dress of black chiffon with silver and gold glittered decoration. Silver glitter in rectangular pattern overlapping roses in gold glitter. Applied in dots that appear to be glued to the chiffon. Full length with long sleeves having 3/4" black satin cuffs secured with 2 covered snaps. Keyhole neckline which extends to center front opening to hem; edges of neckline and opening trimmed in 3/4" black satin. Opening is secured with eleven self covered buttons with chain-stitched loops and reinforced with hook & eye at top and at natural waist; only first five buttons are functional. At natural waist is a 2-1/4" black satin ribbon belt that forms a bow at the center front opening and secured with hook & eye and snap behind the bow. Sleeves are lined with extra layer of black chiffon, and body of dress is lined in silk polyester(?). Designer's label at top center back: "Ferdinando Sarmi" Care label beneath designer's label: "Dry Clean Only"

Width varies from 5-1/2" at center to 9-1/2" at open ends. C) Belt of black silk satin. 3" wide with self covered rectangular buckle.

Description: Hat of woven pink straw. In the "Flower-pot" style, the hat has a tall, cylindrical crown, flattened at top. At base of crown is a wide band pleated pink chiffon which has a cross-over in back and bow in front. At front are affixed artificial pink chiffon-like roses with green leaves and stems. The brim of the hat curves down and curls under at edge, but is covered by layers of matching pink chiffon. The hat is unlined, with inner pink grosgrain ribbon hatband. Accompanied by one plain hat pin. Label sewn to inner ribbon band: "Miss / Eileen".

Description: Hat of red straw. High, rounded crown somewhat like a cloche, surmounted by a ball of same red straw. Roughly oval brim, turning up towards edge, higher in front than back. Brim and base of crown edged with thin band of red grosgrain(?) ribbon. Unlined. Inner hatband of red grosgrain ribbon. Designer's label inside at inner hatband: "Oleg Cassini" Union Label inside.
