Description: Beret of dark brown velvet. The soft, full crown is constructed of several pieces, all gathered into brown satin hatband. Hat is lined in cream silk(?) and has inner brown grosgrain ribbon hatband. Retailer's label sewn to inner hatband: "Volk / Dallas". Label of United Hatters, Cap, and Millinery Workers International Union sewn into lining.

Blouse

Description: Blouse of navy blue wool. Wide, boat neckline with inner wide white pique lining which folds over dark plum(?) facing of wool collar, to become shawl collar. Double breasted, with three pair of circular black buttons and single hook-and-eye at waist. Sleeveless, with slight "cap" effect caused by wide shoulders darting, and deep diagonal line of sides. Boater

Description: Boater-style hat of off-white straw. The whole hat is of straw woven into shell-shaped segments, connected to form the body of the hat. The cylindrical crown has a flat top, and is encircled at the base by a black velvet ribbon. At either side of the crown are large black velvet bows. Description: Boy's one-piece playsuit of red cotton with blue, green, and white figures of boys riding scooters, wagons and tricycles. Patch pocket at right front. Elastic waistband at back. Shoulder straps button to front of bib. Bib lined in blue cotton and folds over top of bib to form tab trimmed with three white buttons.

Calotte Hat

Description: Calotte style hat of gold lamé fabric. Hat could also be called a modified turban. Upturned brim with large, circular, red rhinestone surrounded by white rhinestones as trim. Same trim of large, circular, red rhinestone surrounded by white rhinestones on right side of hat. Lined in black fabric with black grosgrain headband. Retailer's label on inside headband: "Titche Goettinger Co. / Dallas" Designer's label on inside headband: "Sally Victor / 18 East 53rd St."

Camisole slip

Description: Camisole slip of white cotton, knee-length, princess-line, eyelet trim around the shaped neckline and as the shoulder straps. Semi-fitted princess-seams. Turned hem with applied ruffle of eyelet lace and insertion. The slip is homemade and appears to be a petticoat from 1910-1915 that was altered and remade.

Camisole slip

Description: Camisole slip of heavy white cotton, knee-length, camisole slip. Eyelet lace trim around the neckline and as the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps' eyelet is attached to white cotton twill tape. Empire bust seam insertion of eyelet lace. Flared. five panel shell with turned hem. Gathered. 15" wide flounce of eyelet lace applied 15" above the hemline. The slip is homemade and appears to be a petticoat from 1910-1915 that has been altered and remade.

Cap

Description: Cap of dark gray wool. The cap is styled as a Garrison Cap (aka Side Cap, or Wedge Cap). Influenced by military headgear, this hat is constructed as a flat envelope, which opens along long edge to form a wedge-shaped crown. Running width-wise across crown is a band of the same fabric with parallel lines of top-stitching in white thread. Lined in a dark gray fabric. No labels in hat.

Description: Chakra (hanging panel for a shrine or altar in homes) with Kutch embroidery. Square panel with radial, square design balanced from center. Center panel is nine squares bordered in geometric embroidery, with each square containing nine mica mirrors attached with buttonhole stitches around edges. Child's dress

Description: Little girl's float dress of purple cotton. Smocked yoke. Long sleeves are vented with snap closure and white cuffs. Peter Pan collar, cuffs and patch pockets of white cotton bound in matching purple. Center front placket closure of white cotton trimmed in purple embroidery with two pairs of small white buttons; closure under placket of snaps and hook & eyes. Unlined.
