Description: A) Off-white/beige cream wool jersey dress with matching belt. Knee-length or slightly longer. Long sleeves. Slight standing collar which opens at throat. Center front opening with series of 17 functional circular gilt buttons with "dimpled" texture. At throat are two non-functional buttons on the turned-back part of the collar. Buttonholes are bound, with red backgrounds. Large patch pockets at hips. Lined in a beige/cream silk. Designer's label at inside back collar: "Norman-Norell / New York" B) Long sash belt of same fabric, of tubular construction. No marks on belt.

Description: Semi-formal gown of ivory silk faille and light green taffeta. Below knee-length, the ivory silk faille bodice is sleeveless and has a jewel neckline . Arched princess seams from arm opening to dropped waistline are mirrored on back. Patch pockets cut on bias at hips. The light green taffeta skirt gathers to the ivory silk faille bodice at dropped waist, and has attached interior supporting structure of 5-1/2" and 17" tiers of stiffened synthetic organdy(?). The dress has a center back zipper with hook & eye and hook & eye with snap at skirt. Bodice lined in ivory synthetic fabric and skirt is lined cotton organdy. Designer's label at left side seam: "Tassell" Retailer's label at center back neckline: "Lou Lattimore / Dallas"

Description: Dress of diagonally ribbed silk of off-white with deep red/orange, large paisley print. Long sleeves with 2" cuffs secured with two self-covered buttons and loops. Above the knee length. 2.5 inch standing collar. Collar closes in back with self-covered button, loop and 4 snaps. Horizontal seam across bust and deep, inverted box pleats falling from sides under bust line; pleats mirrored in back. Four self-covered buttons below collar secured with loops down center back. Zipper in back center from beneath buttons. Lined in ivory silk crepe. Designer's label at center back: "Donald Brooks"

Stripes on front and back of main part of dress run horizontally, on sides of dress run vertically, and run down the length of the arms. Center back zipper closure, with hook and loop at collar and at center back/waist area. Fully lined in dark navy blue. Designer's label at inside back hem of lining near slit: "Travilla" With accompanying long tie belt of same fabric.

Matching 1-3/4" band at collar, cuffs and inset waistband. Darts in front, and center back zipper closure with hook & eye. Fully lined in pink silk jacquard with the designer's name. Designer's label at right of zipper: "Bessi / Firenze Italia" Fabric has "Bessi" signature in fabric design. Ensemble - Blouse and Pants

Description: Lounge ensemble in pink silks. The pantsuit consists of a blouse and pants. The blouse is of pink silk, constructed as two layers. The inner lining layer is of plain pink gauze. The outer layer is of pink silk heavily decorated with patterns created by shibori technique dying. The blouse has long sleeves and a center-front zipper closure that runs almost the entire length of the garment and has a single hook-and-eye at throat. The collar, cuffs, hem, and flap over the zipper are a small ruffle of the same materials. The shibori patterns use green, yellow, blue, and the original white of the fabric to create bands of tiny "puckers", large circular forms, and abstract shapes. The pants are of pink silk taffeta, about ankle length, with elastic cuffs. Plain waistband, with zipper closure at center front and single hook-and-eye at waistband. Described in early records as harem pants, but lacking the fullness associated with that style. Both garments have the same series of labels. Designer's label: "Martine Grandval / Made in France Paris"; material label "100% Silk"; and retailer's label: "ViV / Neiman-Marcus / Made in France". The shibori fabric may be of Indian, Pakistani, or Asian origin, ...
