Description: Hat of black velvet and beading. The hat is styled as a calotte (also spelled "calot") of black velvet, with an irregular lower edge. Set around the calotte are 5 large tear-drop shaped rhinestones, 4 at front and 1 at back. Each stone is bordered by concentric bands of pearls, small rhinestones and gray tubular beads. The beading bands continue around the hat, linking the larger stones, and becomes the lower border of the hat. The hat is lined with black satin, and has an inner hatband of black grosgrain ribbon. A small stitched mark on the inner hatband indicates the front of the hat. Maker's label sewn to inner hatband: "Ere Nouvelle / New York / Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." Sewn to maker's label is size label: "22 / MSC"

The domed crown is of woven dark green straw, using primarily wide bands of straw but with occasional bands made of linked narrow strips threaded with thin golden ribbon. The narrow brim is of matching straw, and turns up steeply. Applied to back is a small dark green velvet bow. The hat is lined in a dark green fine mesh fabric, and has an inner hatband of green velveteen(?) ribbon around the inside lower edge of the crown. Maker's label sewn to inner hatband: "Ere Nouvelle / New York / Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." Retailer's label sewn to inner hatband: "Walker-Marr / Dallas" Partly obscured Union(?) label sewn to inner hatband: "...w York / .... reation / ..... 22".

Description: Pair of shoes of navy blue leather. The shoes are designed with square toes and dark leather uppers. A wide rectangular panel of navy blue simulated reptile skin extends from the toe, up the vamp, below an oval cut-out in the vamp, and up the instep to create a tongue. The 2 1/4" high heel is covered with same blue leather, and tapers to base. Description: Hat of off-white felt. Domed crown encircled at base by wide band of navy blue ribbon. The medium-width crown is pulled upright at sides and back into 4 gathers, each sewn to crown and with a navy blue tassel suspended from edge. Brim at front of hat curves down slightly. Hat is unlined, with inner navy blue grosgrain ribbon hatband. Secured to inner hatband is a small simulated tortoise shell comb to secure hat to wearer's head. Description: Hat of green felt. Based in part on a "Eugenie-style" hat, the domed crown is of Kelly green felt surrounded by an asymmetrical cut brim which is rolled up at one side. Rolled brim is hand-sewn to crown, and narrows to point in back. Affixed at cut/roll is spray of vari-colored pheasant feathers. Hat is unlined, with Kelly green grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Sewn to the inner hatband are two small simulated tortoise shell combs to secure hat to wearer's head. Maker's label sewn inside at hatband: "Estelle Peters / 50 E. 56th St. N.Y.".

Heel above sole is open, creating a "sling-back" effect. Low heel of a modified Louis style. The full-length skirt is of blue silk zibeline, A-line, with black floral raffia embroidery at hem and up side seams in triangular panels. The embroidery is accented with black hand-beading and crystal bead clusters. Skirt with center back hidden zipper in light blue. The skirt is lined in light blue, and the halter-top is lined in a black wool(?) jersey.
