Description: Tubular dress of red textured, homespun wool with princess style seams. Tea length. Rounded, jewel neckline. Three-quarter length raglan sleeves with gussets at under arm. Two large patch pockets placed low on hips wrap around side seams. Center front closure with seven red plastic round buttons and bound buttonholes; reinforced at neckline with a snap. Upper portion of dress lined in ivory silk crepe. Retailer label at left inside seam near hem: "Neiman-Marcus"

Description: Red silk taffeta dress with print of white line/dashes. A) Cocktail dress of red silk taffeta print. The print is of short white lines/dashes, scattered over the entire garment. Short sleeves, collar with rounded "points". Dropped waist, with a wide panel of same fabric with vertical stitching between bodice and skirt. "Tiered" skirt, with a flounce of same material gathered at bottom of dropped waist and continuing to about knee-level. Skirt gathered at dropped waist, under the flounce. Center front opening with 5 small circular self-covered buttons. Zipper at left side from under arm to dropped waist. Unlined. Inner ivory grosgrain belt/petersham with single hook and eye at left side. Seam where flounce joins skirt reinforced on interior with horsehair band. Combined designer's/retailer's label sewn in skirt: "Neiman-Marcus Dallas / Traina-Norell" B) Thin belt of cream leather covered in matching fabric. Rectangular buckle covered in same fabric. No marks on belt.

Belt sits above waistline. Designer label: "Neiman-Marcus Dallas / Traina Norell".

Description: Dress of toast brown colored linen. A) Jacket. Waist-length box jacket, with modified mandarin collar, asymmetrical front opening/closure beginning with a button just below center throat, then curving to left, and then down on left front, with a total of five large circular ivory-colored plastic buttons, and a single hidden snap at upper right. Sleeveless. Single patch pocket at right side. Neckline, opening, and top edge of pocket edged with off-white band. Lined in cream cotton(?). No label in jacket. B) Skirt. Street-length, A-line, with darts to the wide waistband. Left fastening, with three hooks and loops at waistband and zipper below. Unlined. Designer's label: "Traina-Norell / New York"

Description: Hat of pea green straw. Formed of a coil of tightly braided straw, the hat has a high domed crown and brim that slopes slightly downwards. The base of the brim is encircled by a wide band of artificial white flowers, which almost covers the brim. The edge of the brim is embellished with bands of the same straw braid, sewn across the edge. The hat is unlined, with inner green grosgrain ribbon hatband and elastic cord to help secure to wearer's head. Label inside: "Regalle"

The flat-topped, cylindrical crown is encircled with artificial pink roses and carnations, totally covering the sides of the crown. The wide brim slopes down steeply. The hat is lined in a pale pink satin, the brim is lined with the same pale pink velvet. The hat has an inner pink grosgrain ribbon hatband. Label inside: "Regalle"

Description: Pillbox style hat of mustard yellow dyed Persian lamb (aka astrakhan). The short, cylindrical crown has a flat, inset top of brown velvet, and slightly bowed sides of yellow curly Persian lamb. The hat is lined in a bronze silk(?), and has inner brown grosgrain ribbon hatband and a brown elastic cord to help secure it to wearer's head. No labels.

Description: Breton hat of light turquoise/jade green fur felt. The high crown has a shallow domed top, and is encircled by the wide brim, which curves up vertically around the crown. The brim is lined/faced with the same fur felt. The hat is unlined, with matching green grosgrain ribbon inner hatband, and is accompanied by a hat pin, the head of which is covered in the same fur felt. Designer's label: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Paris"

Description: Hat of light beige wool felt. For daytime wear, the hat has a high, domed crown, encircled at the base by a band of the same felt, with a bow at front right. The wide, somewhat floppy brim, slopes downwards, with a "dent" at back left edge. Unlined, the hat has an inner light beige grosgrain ribbon hatband, and is accompanied by two hatpins, the heads covered with matching fabric. No labels.
