Description: Picture hat of light beige finely woven straw. The domed crown is encircled at base by a rolled tube of the same straw, into which at front is twined the stem of a beige silk satin rose. The wide, slightly floppy brim is strengthened at brim by rolling up and over. The hat is unlined, with inner beige grosgrain ribbon hatband, and two small elastic cords at sides to help secure combs/pins to help hold hat to wearer's head. No labels.

Description: Hat of dark taupe velvet and artificial flowers. Built on a framework of velvet covered wire and stiffened lace, the hat is styled somewhat as a calotte (also spelled "calot"), with domed crown and shaped front edge. The front, right side, and part of the back are covered with a mass of small artificial flowers (violets?) and leaves of various colors of plush. The rest of the sides and top of the crown are covered in the dark taupe velvet, in folds and drapes suggesting a turban. Hat is unlined, allowing stiffened lace/mesh under-structure to be seen. No labels.

Description: Hat of tightly coiled, finely braided metallic gold straw. The low domed crown is inset at top, and surrounded by a wreath of artificial flowers with green leaves and metallic gold 4-petal blossoms with pearl centers. From below the wreath extends light brown net veil. Narrow circular brim, rolled under and back to form its own lining/facing. Crown of hat is unlined, and has inner golden brown grosgrain ribbon hatband and elastic cord to help secure to wearer's head. Label inside: "Regalle"

Cream grosgrain ribbon petersham at empire waist with two hook & eye closures. Stiffened at hem with matching tulle netting and horizontal bands of horsehair. Description: Cocktail dress of black wool jersey knit. The late-day dress is of mid-length, with bateau (boat) neckline and short sleeves. Center back zipper with hook & eye at neckline. The fitted torso has a natural waistline with a fitted yoke from natural waist to full hip. Pleated/gathered skirt of black tissue faille begins below yoke and flares to hem. Around the waist is an attached wide faille sash which ties in front forming a bow with trailing ribbons. The bodice of the dress is lined in black and the skirt has a heavy fabric underskirt and two attached layers of net crinoline. Joint designer's and retailer's label sewn inside skirt: "Neiman-Marcus Dallas / Traina-Norell".

The surface of the hat is covered in curving, meandering lines of gray beads, enhanced by double-bands of silver sequins which form "zig-zag" motifs on sides, and around dome of crown. Front and sides of hat overlaid with short length of light gray net veil. Hat is unlined, with gray grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. No labels in hat.

The wide brim is of straw lace with a medium-fine mesh and wider bands creating concentric chevrons around the brim. The brim is lined in black fabric, with inner black grosgrain hatband, to the front of which is attached a single small clear plastic comb to secure hat to wearer's head. The wide circular brim is almost horizontal, curving very slightly downwards. The crown is unlined, with inner dark brown grosgrain ribbon hatband. The underside of the brim is faced in dark brown velvet matching the velvet band around crown. From the underside of the brim extend two different bands of net mesh veiling, a smaller, open mesh veil from base of crown to nose, and a fine mesh extending from mouth to lower throat. Accompanied by a single hatpin with brown faux pearl head. Retailer's label sewn to inner hatband: "Neiman-Marcus"
