Sailor Jumpsuit
Jumpsuit of navy blue wool jersey. Designed as a "Sailor Suit", the one-piece garment is sleeveless, with sailor collar of white linen and large red bow of silk twill. Two patch pockets at lower front, and center front zipper. The attached web belt is of same fabric, and has a rectangular self covered buckle. The bodice is lined in navy silk.

Evening dress of pink silk crepe. Full length tubular skirt with gathered natural waist seam and matching, attached, 3"wide, flat belt. The belt front is accented with a large five loop bow centered with a looped rosette cluster and is secured at center back opening with four hook & bars. Draped, sleeveless, side-less, tunic-style over bodice of same with open rounded neckline. The over bodice shapes over the bust with soft folds. Fitted, boned inner bodice of pink silk crepe with light brown spaghetti straps. Inner bodice and over bodice have separate center back zipper closures from mid-back to the waist with a single hook & loop/hook & eye at the neckline. The skirt is slit at center front from the hem to knee-level. Piece lined in pink silk. Wide, boned, white nylon tulle waist stay with center back closure. Designed to appear as a wrapped skirt with diagonal opening from left hip to right side hem with five nonfunctional buttons matching jacket, and tailored buttonholes. At center front, from knee height to left side hem, is simulated opening backed by same fabric. Opening has black piping matching jacket. Left side zipper with two hook & eyes on narrow waistband. Hat
Hat of ivory fur felt. High, cylindrical crown is slightly peaked at front and rounded at back, with flat top having sunken central area. Base of crown encircled by wide ivory grosgrain ribbon hatband with applied "D" shaped gilt metal rhinestone set buckle form, from which extends ends of ribbon. Narrow brim slants downwards, and is slightly wider in front than back. Hat is unlined, with inner ivory grosgrain ribbon hatband. Pair of heeled pumps of light brown suede. Designed with gently pointed round toe, the vamp opening is asymmetrical, with pointed end to outside lower edge. Dress of blue/gray silk satin or peau de soie, in shirtwaist style. Notched collar. Self covered button at center front with bound buttonhole. Waist seam; 3/4 length skirt with pleats on front and back of skirt. Half-length sleeves with self covered button, turn-back cuffs and bound buttonhole. Armhole princess seams front and back. Tucks on front and back bodice. Center back zipper. Lined in blue organdy with 1/2" blue grosgrain ribbon petersham. Center front opening, which has: 3 self-covered circular buttons and bound button holes on bodice; one hook-and-loop tab in pleating; three hook and loop fasteners at dropped waist narrow waistband/belt; 6 functioning self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes on skirt; and with two faux bound button holes at bottom near hem. Cocktail Ensemble of beige chiffon. A) Cocktail dress. Short, knee-length or slightly longer, sleeveless dress with narrow straps. Rounded neckline with self ruffle edging. Chiffon of bodice is gathered at neckline, vertical at front, but rounding to horizontal at back. Skirt has knife-pleating from natural waistline to hips, the pleats opening from hips and falling softly to hem. Center back zipper closure on main dress, with series of 4 snap closures below waist on pleated outer skirt. The skirt portion is formed as a pleated overskirt of chiffon over an inner silk crepe inner sheath, which has a wide ruffle of crepe at hem. Evening Dress
Evening dress of black chiffon with silver and gold glittered decoration. Silver glitter in rectangular pattern overlapping roses in gold glitter. Applied in dots that appear to be glued to the chiffon. Full length with long sleeves having 3/4" black satin cuffs secured with 2 covered snaps. Keyhole neckline which extends to center front opening to hem; edges of neckline and opening trimmed in 3/4" black satin. Opening is secured with eleven self covered buttons with chain-stitched loops and reinforced with hook & eye at top and at natural waist; only first five buttons are functional. At natural waist is a 2-1/4" black satin ribbon belt that forms a bow at the center front opening and secured with hook & eye and snap behind the bow. Sleeves are lined with extra layer of black chiffon, and body of dress is lined in silk polyester(?). Long, set-in sleeves with ruffled cuffs of self. Set-in 2" waistline has snap indicating dress possibly had a belt or attached bow at one time. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Burnoose-style cape of lavender wool flannel. Mid-skirt length front and back, rounded at bottom to be shorter on each side. Fitted at shoulders. Attached hood gathered around face by use of ribbon ties woven through satin bound buttonholes around border of hood (ribbon missing). Center front opening and hem are trimmed with wide band of pastel green cording in scroll design. Closure of matching satin ribbon ties at neckline. Lined in pastel green satin.

Shift dress of olive green silk satin with multicolored art nouveau print of red thistles and leaves. Sleeveless with bateau neckline. Knee length. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Ensemble of pink and yellow silk bouclé, navy wool, and navy voile. The silk bouclé has a yellow plain weave ground with an overlay of supplemental warp and weft of pink silk. Ensemble consists of: A) Jacket in Chanel style, collarless, with long straight sleeves and 2" trim of crocheted navy and pink yarn at cuffs and around neckline, center front opening and hemline. Chanel stitch construction with chain inside hem. Lined in navy voile. Child's Ensemble
Child's dress ensemble of tan cotton with green and red/orange floral print consisting of: A) Skirt. Full length; pleated. One-inch waistband of muslin. Right side slit pocket. Center back opening; closures missing. Bottom of inside hem lined in brown glazed cotton; balance of skirt unlined. B) Bodice. Fitted with wide neckline; dropped shoulders. Neckline is trimmed with double row of fluted fabric of self. Short, puffed sleeves with caps trimmed with fluted fabric of same. V-shaped pleats in front. Center back opening closes with 9 hook & eyes. Lined in muslin. C) Fichu. Triangular panels of decreasing size applied to look like pleats. Four-inch epaulets of same with self-covered buttons at ends. Seven self-covered buttons down center back seam with evidence of three missing buttons. Lined in brown glazed cotton.
Dress
Cocktail or Evening Dress. The mid-length dress has a pink crepe under-dress/slip which is overlaid with a black net sheath embellished with lavish black bead-work in the forms of rose-heads forming a trellis and fan-shapes in the openings of the trellis. The dress is sleeveless, with a high boat neckline. At natural waist is an attached pink satin belt with bow in front. Center back zipper, with section of hooks-and-eyes at upper part. There are two labels in the dress, the Retailer's label "Neiman-Marcus" sewn inside at waist to right of zipper, and maker's label sewn inside near top of under-dress on left of zipper "Made in British Crown / Colony Hong Kong". With accompanying long rectangular pink chiffon scarf. No labels on scarf.

A) Day dress of red/orange chiffon printed with design of square polka dots. Modified shirtwaist style with wrap around closure. Below knee length; short sleeves with 1" cuffs. B) Belt of black velvet. No labels in either item.
Opera Coat
Opera coat of black velour with ecru floss embroidery. Rows of embroidery are embellished with knots and outside edges of rows are knotted with 1-1/2" loops of embroidery floss. Opera coat is full length, with long sleeves and center front opening with no closure. Lined in black satin. No labels in garment.

With tie belt of matching fabric, 1" wide.

Coat of curly sheep or goat fur in shades of brown, white, and gray mixed. Standing collar, single breasted closure and pockets all of brown leather. Sweetheart neckline in front, with small horizontal pleats at front left and right princess seaming at upper part of bust; back neckline is low and rounded. 1-1/2 inch wide shoulder straps that split in front to form an inverted Y, with horizontal band of same fabric at dividing point. Natural waist. Skirt is below knee length, at at hips has three almost horizontal bias folds which extend to from hip center back and join to form bow; lower sash ends of the bow attach to skirt to form "bustle drape", giving added fullness. Attached net petticoat gathered to taffeta yoke; back zipper. Retailer's label at left side seam: "Neiman-Marcus"
Man's Coat
Coat of beaver(?) and fox fur. Full-length coat of alternating light and dark brown "squares" of fur following patterns of the pelt. Long sleeves, two slit pockets at front hips, attached belt across small of back of same fur, and back vent. Double-breasted, with six large brown leather buttons in 3 pairs, which fasten to loops. Collar of fox fur. Fully lined in gray. Inside breast pocket on left. Leather label inside: "Made in Canada"; Printed style/size label, illegible notes.

Coat of black wool felt, 3/4 length, with long sleeves. In bands above wrist and two bands above hem are rows of knitted wool material in checkered patterns of cream, orange, grey and black forming an almost plaid pattern. Center front opening with one large circular button and loop closure. Long, shawl collar of black fur trim. Fully lined in light brown/copper damask in square and diamond pattern on upper part of coat and black damask in circles and squares pattern on lower part with connecting band of horsehair braid.
