- Tricorne of light green straw, black and orange velvet. The hat is designed as a traditional tricorne, or "three-cornered-hat", with a low cylindrical crown of green straw, slightly domed. The wide brim of green straw curls up on three sides, and has cut-back arches at corners. The underside/facing of the brim is lined with black velvet, and edged with a thin band of orange velvet, which is tied in a bow at center top edge of one side. Crown is unlined, but has inner hatband of a striped/plaid fabric. Designer's label inside: "Original / Ruby Ross / California"

- Hat of chocolate colored mink fur. Somewhat in a pillbox shape, but much larger, the slightly domed crown fully covers the head. Brown corduroy lining trimmed with grosgrain ribbon. Labels: Designer's label: "Mr. D" United Hatters, Cap and Millinery Workers International Union label.
- Ensemble - Dress and Bolero Jacket
- Evening ensemble in orange and taupe crepe. The sleeveless, full-length dress is of taupe crepe, and has a "V" neckline in front and a deep "V" in back. Around high waist is a wide band of orange crepe outlined in gold braid and oval simulated pearls. The band is heavily beaded in faux coral and turquoise beads in various patterns and floral motifs. The bodice of the dress gathers into the front of the band, and has a zipper and hook-and-eyes closure at left side. The Bolero jacket is of the orange crepe. The cropped jacket has a rounded neckline and long sleeves. The neckline, center front opening, and lower hem is heavily beaded to match the band on the dress, with added faux turquoise beading in floral forms on the front panels of the jacket. No labels in either garment.

Collarless with piped, rounded, high neckline and string tie at front (decorative). Long, set-in sleeves gathered into cuffs with single button and tailored buttonhole at each cuff. Front with wide center and two narrow vertical pin-tucks. Center back closure with 7 circular shell/mother-of-pearl buttons and tailored buttonholes. No labels in shirt. C) Skirt. Street-length, A-line with 1-1/2 inch waistband. Two pairs of circular dark blue buttons on waistband for securing "suspenders". Left side zipper with four sets of hook-and-eyes (one missing). Simulated pleats, sewn down, with vertical strips of same fabric sewn to skirt giving illusion of further pleating. Unlined. Label on waistband to left of zipper: "Made In France"

This seam gives a "two-tone" effect to the satin as the light hits it. The 2 1/4" high modified French heel is covered with the same satin. Double breasted with closure of four interior snaps with four non-functioning concave glass buttons. Short sleeves with 3/4" cuffs. Scalloped collar, hem of sleeve cuffs, high waist and opening of dress piped in coral orange silk. Unlined.

Round collar has square matching crochet lace inset below. Belt of self fabric is attached at sides of waist and closes with self-covered rings. Princess seams. Center back zipper closure. Unlined.

- Girl's dress of mint green polka dot cotton lawn. White lace-trimmed peter pan collar. Short puffed sleeves. Fitted bodice is trimmed with two vertical rows of lace and black velvet; bow of matching black velvet at neckline. Hemline trimmed in white lace and has two black velvet bows on front at sides. Center back closure of two hook & eyes.

- Ceremonial Skirt of ochre-orange cotton with purple stripes and metallic thread. One piece of fabric sew into a floor-length tube, with tripes running horizontally. Textile created on a backstrap loom, design motifs hand embroidered with couched metallic threads, with decorative band of densely-embroidered geometric motifs at the bottom hem.
