Dress opens along left vertical row with a single snap and a single small hidden button and loop to secure upper left of panel under collar. Unlined. Black band inside lower hem. Styled as a boater or "Pamela hat", the low, domed crown is of stiffened light brown net, overlaid with light brown felt circles of various sizes, and irregular band around the lower edge. At back is a bow, secured under a strap of the felt, made of lighter brown/beige satin tube ribbon. The brim is of the same felt, curling up at outer edge, banded at outer edge in the same satin tube ribbon. The hat is unlined, with inner light brown grosgrain ribbon hatband.
