Description: Black velvet costume robe of "Moroccan" style, custom-designed. Band collar which buttons in center front. Jacket buttons down entire length with tiny buttons and loops. Sleeves are set in, full and straight. Side seams end in slits which are rounded at corners and have 2 buttons at top. Every seam is covered in gold and black braid. Description: Dress of orange wool jersey knit. Knee-length or slightly above. Slight standing collar. Long sleeves. Yoke and collar with white panel lined in pale aqua band. Similar patches on sleeves at cuffs, with two gilt metal chased domed buttons. Attached belt matching the patches on sleeves closes in back with two matching buttons;3-1/2" wide. Description: Evening dress of white appliqued lace and black taffeta. Bodice of white lace with appliqued soutache braid in a floral chrysanthemum motif. Tea length; long sleeves with 3" cuffs and snap closure. Scooped neckline has a scalloped edge. Empire waist and gathered skirt of black taffeta. Center back zipper closure. Hemline of skirt is stiffened with 1-1/2" band of horsehair. Bodice lined in peach synthetic and skirt lined in black synthetic.

Panel

Description: Length of Handwoven Fabric. Two breadth garment handwoven in cotton on the backstrap loom. Natural brown cotton with white cotton stripes - warp faced weave. The 2 panels are joined with machine stitching and the ends have machine stitched hems. One panel is slightly longer (2 3/8") than the other.

Maternity dress

Description: Maternity dress of printed cotton blend(?) in pattern of geometric shapes in orange, green and red on pink background with "scratches" of dark pink and magenta. Knee length with wide rounded neckline faced in olive green linen. Elbow length sleeves have 3" bell shaped cuffs backed in olive green linen. Center back zipper closure; unlined. Designer's label at back neckline: "Page Boy / Dallas" Size "6" tag at hemline (faded).

Caftan

Description: Caftan. Vintage Guatemalan skirt (possibly from Santa Maria de Jesus) remade into a contemporary caftan. Original skirt handwoven on treadle loom all cotton. Hand embroidered cotton randa (joining seam). Notice the handmade fabric toggle closure at neckline to complement original design of skirt.

Description: Faja (belt) of turquoise and dark green cotton. Linear repeating pattern in green of birds and a human figure in the center, with three lines of green along the edges. Unfinished, loose threads at the ends. Handwoven on backstrap loom with warp face weave.

Description: Picture hat of red woven straw. High, domed crown is encircled by wide band of folded/doubled red grosgrain ribbon with white polka dots, large bow at back. Description: Picture hat of olive green woven straw. High, cylindrical crown, flat at top, and very slightly conical, encircled at base by ca. 1" to 1 1/2" wide band of same woven straw, tied at back with extending tales. Delantal

Description: Delantal (Apron). Made from remnant of jaspe (ikat) corte (skirt). Material is very nicely detailed with a scalloped bottom that is trimmed in velvet. The lining of the pockets is made from the same skirt material. This piece was probably used as an accessory to a garment for a statue of a saint.

Bodice has a half belt below bustline with tapering ends that form a bow at the center front. Front of skirt is pleated from below bustline to hem.
