National Uranium Resource Evaluation, Flagstaff Quadrangle, Arizona

Description: From purpose and scope: The purpose of this study is to identify and delineate areas favorable for the occurrence of uranium deposits "which could contain at least 100 metric tons of U308 with an average grade of not less than 100 ppm U308". The study was limited to depths of less than 1500 m (5000 ft). No attempt was made to make the economics of recovering uranium a criterion for selecting favorable areas, except that the uranium be in a "mineable configuration".

National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Gallup Quadrangle, Arizona and New Mexico

Description: From Introduction: "The purpose of the National Uranium Resource Evaluation (NURE) program is to identify and delineate areas and environments within the Gallup 1º x 2º Quadrangle, Ariz. and New Mex., that exhibit characteristics favorable for the occurrence of uranium deposits that have the potential to contain at least 100 metric tons U3O8 total endowment with an average minimum grade of 100 ppm (0.01 percent)."

National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Gillette Quadrangle, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Montana

Description: From Purpose and Scope: "The Gillette 1º x 2º Quadrangle, Wyoming, and South Dakota was evaluated to find volumes of rock considered favorable for uranium deposits and which could contain at least at 100 mt tons U3O8 with an average grade of 0.01 percent U3O8 or more. All geologic environments to a depth of 1,500 m (5,000 ft) evaluated through the use of surface investigations and subsurface information."

National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Glens Falls Quadrangle, New York, Vermont and New Hampshire

Description: From Introduction: "The Glens Falls NTMS Quadrangle of New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire (Fig. 1) was evaluated to identify and delineate areas and geologic units that have characteristics favorable for uranium deposits. All geologic environments in the quadrangle were studied by surface methods and, where possible, were inferred to a depth of 1500 m."

National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Greeley Quadrangle, Colorado

Description: Abstract: Eleven areas have been identified in the Greeley 1° x 2° Quadrangle, Colorado, that appear to be favorable for the occurrence of uranium having a minimum of 100 tons of U₃O at grades of 0.01 percent or better. Nine of these are in the Front Range metamorphic and igneous environment, and two are in the Great Plains sedimentary environment. The two favorable areas in the Plains are underlain by the Fox Hills and Laramie Formations and are favorable for "Texas" roll-type (Subclass 242) a… more
