1. The reaction between beryllium salts and salicylic acid was studied by the spectrophotometric method in the ultra violet portion of the spectrum. The optimum pH value for this process was found to be 9.0 to 9.5. 2. Two independent methods showed that beryllium and salicylic acid form a compound in the ration 1:2.
