Kalanchoe seedlings were exposed to 330 r/20 hrs/day from a Co60 source. Samples were harvested weekly. No new leaves were produced after initial exposure to irradiation. Mitosis in the apical meristem appears to have been suppressed. However, the axillary meristem and the cambium continue their activity.
