Analyses of Coals in the United States with Descriptions of Mine and Field Samples Collected between July 1, 1904 and June 30, 1910: Part 1. -- Analyses
From Significance and value of Analyses of Coal: "The analyses published in this report cover samples of coal collected in many different parts of the country with unusual care by experiences men, in such manner as to make them representative of extensive beds of coal."
Analyses of Coals in the United States with Descriptions of Mine and Field Samples Collected between July 1, 1904 and June 30, 1910 Part 2. Descriptions of Samples
From Introduction: "This volume contains the descriptions of the samples whose analyses are published in the preceding volume, Part I of this bulletin. The descriptions have been compiled from the notebooks of the persons who collected the samples, have been condensed from accounts given in published reports of the United States Geological Survey, or have furnished by the collection themselves. Inasmuch as the descriptions represent the work of many persons during a period of six years, and inasmuch as they were recorded under widely differing conditions, they necessarily vary in fullness detail."
Analysis of Waste-Load Assimilative Capacity of the Yampa River, Steamboat Springs to Hayden, Routt County, Colorado
From purpose and scope: The primary purpose of the study was to aid in evaluating the waste-load assimilative capacity of the study reach for a minimum mean 7-day low flow and 10-year recurrence interval. The results of this analysis will provide planners and managers in Routt County with information for determining the waste-load capacities of the study reach for possible design and operational alternatives of future wastewater-treatment plants.
[Appendix E. Lithologic Logs]
Logs describing lithologic characteristics of samples collected from the project area described using a binocular microscope or hand lens and recorded on standard Bendix Field Engineering Corporation (BFEC) logging forms.
Digital-Transport Model Study of the Potential Effects of Coal-Resource Development on the Ground-Water System in the Yampa River Basin, Moffat and Routt Counties, Colorado
From abstract: Large increases in coal mining currently (1979) taking place in the Yampa River basin are expected to continue during the 1980's and may adversely impact both the ground-water and surface-water quality in the basin. One potential source of adverse impact is the dissolution of soluble minerals contained in the overburden material disturbed during the mining. This potential impact was investigated using digital ground-water transport-modeling techniques.
[Drilling Logs for the Sand Wash Basin, Colorado]
Bore hole records for the Sand Wash basin in Colorado.
Engineering Report on Drilling in the Sand Wash Basin, Colorado
"This report consists of engineering details, statistics, individual borehole histories, and logistics for the 27 boreholes drilled in the project. Geophysical logs are included." (from Introduction)
Geology and Mineral Fuels of Parts of Routt and Moffat Counties, Colorado
This report studies the geology of mineral deposits in Mount Harris, Pilot Knob, Elkhead Creek, and Daton Peek quadrangles in northwestern Colorado.
Quality of Ground Water in Routt County, Northwestern Colorado
