Mandatory Spending Since 1962

Submission of the President's Budget in Transition Years

Five Years of the Budget Control Act's Disaster Relief Adjustment

Description: The Budget Control Act (P.L. 112-25, hereinafter the BCA) established a set of limits on federal spending, as well as a set of mechanisms to adjust those limits to accommodate spending that has special priority. Research and Development Funding: Fiscal Year 2000

Description: The Administration requested $78.242 billion for research and development (R&D) in FY2000, 1.3% below the FY1999 estimated level of $79.267 billion.
