The Distribution of Household Wealth

Description: This report analyzes data on the trend in the distribution of wealth across U.S. households over the past two decades. It then turns to an examination of the roles of stock and home ownership in wealth accumulations since 1990, paying particular attention to their effects during the 2007-2009 recession. The report closes with a review of explanations for the accumulation and the distribution of wealth across households.
