Forty-one radio stations in 36 Texas cities and towns
will broadcast the special North Texas Day program on
March 31, while former students and students on the cam-
pus plan, individual get-togethers, elections, and meetings
during the week prior to NT Day. ' / — ^
Many tjx-student groups will meet during the week,-
rather than on March 31, as the date this year is during the
Easter holiday period, Dr. Hai^ld^PannerrNT ex-student
secretary, has announced. "However," he has pointed out,
"the broadcasts for the radio stations are all contracted for

General plans for North Texas Day gatherings throughout the state-have been re-
ported durjng the past'week to the office of the jex-student association executive secre-
tary. Included are banquets, election of officers, informal get-togethers and listening par-
ties', programs, and other types of entertainment's. .3'
At Wichita Falls, Ulys G. Knight reports that three radio stations will carry the
recorded broadcast and a banquet will be held for some 400 exes in the area. TV stations
are expected to hold interviews and NTSC President J. C. Matthews will be speaker for
the banquet. — ' . - r'

will hold an organization meeting
at Waco. Dr. Sam McAlister of the^
NT government staff will be ban-
quet speaker for the Gregg Coun-
ty ex-student chapter in Glade-

According to Mac jftamsey, there
will be mo eentral get-together of
the Greater Houston chapter, but
"many individual will celebrate
in their own way/'* he reported.
KTRH will broadcast the program

Betty , Welch has announced a
foke party for exes in Wellington,
and at Amarillo Joe Johnston re-
ports a get-togther at the home of
Mrg. W. G. Fly. In Big Spring, a
coke party will be held at the stu-
union building at Howard Junior

Dallas-Fort Worth
At Fort Worth, where two ra-
dio stations will carry the broad-
cast, Billie Beth Moore, president,
has announced an election of offi-

mesa exes will hold a buffet sup-

Mrs. Jackie Ostefhoudt has notir
fied the ex-student office of a
Dutch Treat Dinner in Port Ar-
thur, and Mrs. Al Korioth of Sher-
man is in-charge of plans for the
Sherman group's get-togther. Sit-
ton's Cafeteria is reserved for a

Wichita Exes To
Have NT Speaker
The Wichita Falls Chapter of
the NTSC Ex-Student Association
has announced that their banquet
plans will include an address by
President J. C. MaUhews, which
is expected to be broadcast, accord-
ing to Ulys G. Knight, president
of the Wichita Falls grpup. -
"We expect approximately 400
exes from the area for the banquet
on March 23," he stated.; "Three
stations will carry a broadcast of
the recording and will also give
spot announcements before^—the-l—
banquet. One or two of the stations
will broadcast Dr. Matthews' talk
from the banquet room and TV sta-
itons will hold one'or two personal
interviews before the night of our
banquet," Knight has announced.
The Wichita Falls group will
hold„ their banquet at 6:45 p.m."

NTSC economics faculty member,
has been named to the faculty at
Lambuth College, Jackson, Tenn.

from Harvard University and the
