RECENT PUBLICATIONS
The Famous History of Tom Thumb is
a new issue of the Hillside Press of Franklin,
New Hampshire. Contains "Marvellous
acts and mis-adventures of this 'puckle
hobgobblin' first mentioned in Scot's Discovery
of Witchcraft, 1584," and comes
illustrated by reproductions of the original
woodcuts. Forty-two pages, sized 2 5/16
by 2 inches, bound in black leather gilt,
and goes for $6.50 a copy.
Detective buffs as well as microbibliophiles
will welcome the first miniature
book on Sherlock Holmes. The Whole Art
of Detection, By Sherlock Holmes was
compiled by John Bennett Shaw, B.S.I.,
and contains an introduction by Vincent
Starrett. Published by the Black Cat Press
of Chicago, it contains sixty-four pages,
measures 2 5/8 by 2 1/16, and comes in
dark green leather with a metal bust of
Holmes appliqued on the front cover. Price

no. 74 for Spring 1968 contains
