MICROBIBLIOPHILE, wishes to express his thanks to the

CONTINUING TITLES -(Ed. Note: Bob's Christmas card was reminiscent of his
covers of THE MICROBIBLIOPHILE: a layout in color

favorite things" from Bob, Helen and Suzanne Hanson.
* Remember over a dozen years ago when Princess Diana
got married? At that time an enterprising entrepreneur
into miniature books produced a miniature photo album of
wedding pictures in color. How many held onto that
keepsake over the years?
* Monsignor Weber gave his eyes a rest from the tiny
print of miniature books and wrote a two-volume
biography of HIS EMINENCE OF LOS ANGELES,
JAMES FRANCIS CARDINAL McINTYRE (St. Francis
Historical Society, $35). Our congratulations! Monsignor
Weber is the official archivist of the Los Angeles diocese.
Many of us remember visiting the extensive historical
library, Monsignor's home base, when the Conclave met in
1985.
* In the January, 1998 issue of BIBLIO, in the
International Auction Reports, records the Dominic Winter
Swindon sale of miniature books, a first such report in the
two-year old book publication. Featured were BIJOU
almanacs, most of which were acquired by Michael
Garbett, as well as the Mite Series in Tartan. (BIBLIO,
pp. 63, 64).
* Correction from previous issue of the Newsletter. The
reference to THE LITTLE BOOK ON THE BIG RIVER
from the press of GA. Stafford, listed his address as Berri,
South Africa. It should have read South Australia

* MBS member, Laurel Duda, a librarian at the Marine
Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, had an exhibit in
September of some 30 of her miniatures. The display, at
