This presentation discusses call arrival rate and mobility. The effect of call arrival rate on the capacity of a code-division multiple-access (CDMA) cellular network is evaluated.
The UNT College of Engineering strives to educate and train engineers and technologists who have the vision to recognize and solve the problems of society. The college comprises six degree-granting departments of instruction and research.

Abstract: This presentation discusses call arrival rate and mobility. The effect of call arrival rate on the capacity of a code-division multiple-access (CDMA) cellular network is evaluated. First the inter-cell and intra-cell interferences of every cell on every other cell are calculated for a given network topology. Then the capacity region for the number of simultaneous calls in every cell is defined for specified system parameters. This region is used to evaluate the new call blocking and handoff call blocking probabilities.
