dogs attracted the largest number of girls.

in sports as hobbles.

Bicycle riding was the most popular sport engaged in
by the girls, as six of them indicated a preference for
this activity as a hobby. Five girls liked to skate, and
two engaged in aerobatics, two in dancing, and two in swim-
ming. Climbing trees, games, horseback riding, and playing
were listed by one girl each as her hobby.
In Table 17 is shown the distribution of 889 girls on
the basis of the educational status of their fathers and
whether or not they receive help with their hobbles.
