PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES

TO HOLD 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING
MEETINGS
PR Docket No. 91-300
The Region 42 (Virginia)' Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold two
consecutive planning meetings on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., the 800 MHz RPC
meeting will convene at the Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront, 5700 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia
Beach, Virginia. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss applications submitted to the 800 MHz
Region 42 planning committee and Plan updates.
Immediately following the 800 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting, the 700 MHz Public Safety
RPC will convene at 3:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss items pertaining to the 700
MHz Regional Planning Committee.
Both of the Region 42 Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public. All eligible public
Safety providers in Region 42 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in
all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be
represented in order to ensure that each agency's future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation
process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with
this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency's needs.
All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum
in the 800 MHz band within Region 42 should plan to attend. For further information, please contact:
