PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS FIELDS IN WYOMING

by pumping was 32 barrels of oil and 48
barrels of water a day from.the Phosphoria
lime at 3,090 to 3,130 feet. The well log shows
the depth, in feet, to the top of formations as
follows: Frontier, 478; Mowry, 602; Muddy,
1,002; Cloverly, 1,204; Dakota, 1,274; Fuson,
1,315; Lakota, 1,366; Morrison, 1,408; Sun-
dance, 1,611; Gypsum Spring, 1,882; Chug-
water, 1,933; Curtis, 2,255; Dinwoody, 3,041;
Phosphoria, 3,081; and Tensleep, 3,351. Anal-
ysis of water from the Frontier formation is
given in table 9 (p. 293).No oil has been reported sold from the field.
The discovery well was abandoned early in
1956.
BOLTON CREEK
The Bolton Creek oilfield (fig. 26) in secs.
3, 4, 9, and 10, T. 29 N., R. 81 W., Natrona
County, occupies a small dome on the Bolton
Creek anticline. A rimrock of Wall Creek
sandstone, a member of the Frontier forma-
tion, encircles the field. The flanks of the
dome dip 10 to 60. The Frontier formation
is exposed on the surface at an elevation ofR.81 W.
