Note
- Display Note: Low domed woven navy blue straw crown has triangular "wings" of the same material at sides which arc upwards and then down, giving a resemblance to a manta ray. The whole is edged with 1/4" spherical white glass(?) beads. Overlaid on the hatlet is a veil of navy mesh with 9 pairs of the white beads affixed at various parts of the veil. The undersides of the wings are lined in white material. The crown of the hat is lined with blue mesh, and there is an inner hatband of dark blue grosgrain ribbon along the inner bottom edge of the crown. Accompanied by two short hatpins, the heads of each are covered with small piece of matching navy blue woven straw. Designer's label affixed to inner hatband: "Bes-Ben / Made In Chicago".
