Hatlet of black fabric.
Physical Description
Measurements: 22 cm. front to back; 23 cm. side to side; 8.5 cm. high at highest point.
Notes
Hatlet in calotte style, formed of black fabric woven with fine shiny black plastic strips. Resembles a kerchief tied around the head, with wide band with scalloped lower edge and oval openings at top, with "bow" at back of same material. All edges trimmed with black plastic beading. The crown is lined in black mesh and edged at with black grosgrain ribbon. Two plastic combs are attached inside the crown to secure hat to wearer's head. Designer's label inside crown: "Bes-Ben / Made in Chicago".
