Miniature Book Society
The Miniature Book Society was founded in 1983 by a group of authors, publishers, collectors, and dealers of miniature books. The object of the society is "to stimulate and sustain interest in miniature books and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information." The society sponsors an annual competition, publishes a newsletter, has a traveling exhibition, and has an annual Conclave held in various locations.
The Special Collections Department collects and preserves rare and unique materials including rare books, oral histories, university archives, historical manuscripts, maps, microfilm, photographs, art and artifacts. The department is located in UNT's Willis Library in the fourth floor Reading Room.
