Robert E. Massmann, author, librarian, and publisher of miniature books under his imprint REM Miniatures. Massmann assembled a major collection of miniature books, and is a founding member of the Miniature Book Society.
The Special Collections Department collects and preserves rare and unique materials including rare books, oral histories, university archives, historical manuscripts, maps, microfilm, photographs, art and artifacts. The department is located in UNT's Willis Library in the fourth floor Reading Room.

Notes
Dard Hunter (born William Joseph Hunter) (November 29, 1883-February 20, 1966) Papermaker, printer, teacher, author, and maker of fine books. Hunter was active in the Arts and Crafts movement, and worked for the Roycrofters, Elbert Hubbard's workshop/colony. In 1912, Hunter built a papermill in New York, and was one of the few hand-made papermakers in the United States at that time. Not only one of the finest papermakers in the world, Hunter was also a prolific writer and scholar, and wrote numerous books in papermaking.
