Fall 1993 Volume 10, Number 1
From the editors:
With this issue of Resource, we say goodbye to Dr. Peter Witt, assistant vice president
and associate dean of UNT's Toulouse School of Graduate Studies and professor of
kinesiology, health promotion and recreation, who is going to continue his career at
another university. W itt served as an editor of this publication. His help and expertise
will be truly missed.
W e welcome Dr. Sandra L. Terrell, associate professor of speech and hearing
sciences at UNT, who will be replacing W itt as assistant vice president and associate
dean of the graduate school and an editor of Resource.
A UNT faculty member since 1979, Terrell has served on many university
committees and has recently completed a yearlong internship in the office of Provost
and Vice President for Academic Affairs Blaine Brownell.
Terrell is widely recognized for her research in the development of language in
children and for her research in ethnic differences in communication. She recently
_ was named a fellow in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for her
Dr. Sandra L. Terrell clinical, teaching, research and administrative contributions in the area of speech-
language pathology and audiology, as well as her service to the association.
Although the names of those producing the magazine may change, the goal of
Resource remains the same - to spotlight the research that occurs across the
disciplines at UNT.
